Carl retired from the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2019, after serving nearly 30 years. He rose to the rank of captain, where he served as the fiscal commander in headquarters for five years, and finished his career in the field as a district commander for southeast Ohio. Carl has served as the executive director for the Ohio Highway Patrol Retirement System since 2019, overseeing the pension fund operations that manage more than a billion dollars in assets. Carl is a graduate of the 220th Session, an Ohio Chapter past president, and currently serves as their treasurer. He is a proud United States Marine veteran.
